I didn't get the hats assembled, I don't know if they do that so they don't get crushed, and i hope I can figure out how to put them together, just not happy that I have to deal with that when I have a million other things to deal with so yeah they come with the string and the hat itself separate for you to put together!

The kids really enjoyed this hats. They weren't hard to assemble and for the most part stayed in tack while this kids played.
